The Canon EF-S 10-22 is Not a Cheap Investment but It is Worth It

I had to buy an external flash for my Canon EF-S 10-22 in order to get the best results but despite a rather costly investment, this is an amazing lens. I seriously underestimated just how wide this lens really is at the 10mm end so needless to say my first few shots were not that great. Because the lens is so wide most of your photos will inevitably end up looking very cluttered and filled with unimportant objects. While these can be cropped out, it would rather defeat the purpose of having such a wide-angle lens. I found that this lens works best when used in conjunction with something that has a little more reach. That way I know that I have all focal distances covered and can use the ultra wide angle only in situations that really warrant it. It is not a cheap investment but the results really do speak for themselves.
