Inspired to Travel Because of Documentaries

Luckily, it was about that time when Brazil laid the lickin’ on the ...I can honestly say that one of the main things that have motivated me to travel to different parts of the world is documentaries that I have seen about these places. One of the places that I had always wanted to visit from the time that I was a little girl was Brazil. I remember watching a documentary about the Amazon River with my parents when I was 10 or 11 years old. I was absolutely fascinated by the Amazon River and I knew I wanted to go there. Not only was I impressed with the Amazon River itself, but I couldn’t believe the diversity of wildlife that lives in and around the river. I also thought that it would be amazing to see some of the Indian tribes that live on the river as well. Coming from a large city I thought that that life in the Amazon must be very rustic, but absolutely amazing.

It was not just one documentary about the country that motivated me to go there. I have watched many other documentaries about different places in Brazil. Not only was I fascinated with the Amazon River, but I was also very fascinated with Iguazu. So as I got older and started to save some money I realized that I would need more than a couple of days or weeks to spend in Brazil if I wanted to see everything there. I do not think that it is possible to see all the amazing sites in Brazil in one lifetime, but I decided that I would take three months to explore as much as I could. I was able to spend much of that time on the Amazon River. I was also able to visit the capital of Brazil and I finished my trip seeing parts of the Iguazu River and then the falls.
