It has been a thrill to travel to every Olympic Games for the past 20 years. I recently found out that Brazil will be hosting the Olympics in 2016. This is an exciting development, as I have visited Brazil often, and have always had a great time.
Brazil is one of the largest countries in the world and one of the most beautiful. Each day, you can visit a different landmark, such as Iguaçu Falls, that will take your breath away. One day on the beaches of São Paulo can be life-changing.
For music lovers, Brazil is the place to be, as music is an integral part of life in the country. Hundreds of thousands of people get together for major concerts each year.
Of course, when one thinks of Brazil, he or she may immediately think of The Carnival of Brazil, which is held across the country in various cities. This festival draws millions of people from around the world to Brazil each year. Brazil is considered one of the happiest countries in the world, and Carnival is one of the reasons why. Music, parades and parties makes the celebration a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Another reason to visit Brazil is the city of Rio de Janeiro. This massive city is home to one of the world’s most recognized landmarks in the world, the statue Christ the Redeemer. It is a main culture hub of the country. I have always been impressed with the architecture of the city, which sports influences from several different centuries.
Because so many people think of Brazil as a place of sun and fun, visitors from other countries are often surprised by the rich culture of the country, particularly its theater.
Of course, in thinking about the Olympics, one can not forget the country’s love of sports, particularly soccer. This country rivals European nations in its love for the sport.
